[Home]. Condover Egg Run 4th April 2010 Being Easter Sunday and with a few people away, we didn’t have the big turn outs of the last two weeks, but nevertheless eight bikes and riders and three pillions, carrying Easter eggs turned out for the ride to Sam’s unit at Condover. After a good brekkie ,we arrived at the house lived in by Sam and his friends, and, as usual were made welcome with cups of tea and lots of biscuits, to hand over the eggs to the residents. As the sun was shining we gathered in the rear garden, and sat around the table we had donated last year, to take some pic’s while Sam eyed up the eggs and picked out the one he wanted. This unit is immaculately kept and the staff are so friendly and you can see that the residents are happy living there. Three of our party then had to return home, but that left seven of us wanting to stay out and continue the day. Bob was volunteered to lead us in the general direction of Llangollen, so we set off through small country roads, along canal sides, over a couple of ski-jumps, finding roads even Bob didn’t know were there, it was really good. We ended up calling for a quick drink at the Telford Pub, the one beside narrow boat moorings where we had picked up our boats for the last boat trip. Of course this brought back recollections of the trip and made us look forward to the next one. Coming home was a fast dash up the A483 and motorways and home in time for tea. It was a belting day out and we were lucky again with the weather as it stayed dry and mostly sunny and we really enjoyed the ride, and the company. So thanks to Stevie for taking it, and to Bob for the amazing maze of detours and everyone else who turned up. See you soon Linda xx
